Meet life’s challenges with more grace, stability and centeredness
The people I work with care as much about how they show up in the world as the goals they set out to accomplish. They are courageous, vulnerable, heart-centered and wise. And, like all of us, they get stuck sometimes — in fear, indecision, numbness and disconnection.
Yet, they are driven by a desire to live authentically. They want deep, vulnerable relationships. They want a successful career that doesn’t compromise their happiness or integrity. They want to feel more — not less — of the pain and joy of the world. Simply put, they want to live a fuller, and more fully human, life.
This is a different kind of coaching.
One that helps you get back in touch with your body.
One that trusts the wisdom of your emotions — and gives you tools to skillfully work with them as they arise.
One that reveals the unconscious beliefs that are holding you back.
One that builds the self-awareness and compassion that ultimately give you more choice about how you show up.
One that focuses less on talking and more on being, helping you ground and find your own inner center — and return there again and again.
We will peel back the layers and discover the parts of you that are most wanting to be heard. It may be a deep longing that gives you the clarity and vision for what is next. It may be long-held fears that need to be honored and addressed before you are able to move forward. It may be feelings of grief or loss that want to be felt. And, maybe it is a bit of everything. You will learn to:
work with your mind to calm its fears, stop its criticism and unleash its brilliance
nurture your heart, be with your emotions and trust them
operate from your center, the place of inner knowing and wisdom
You will live more fully and in deeper relationship with all aspects of yourself — and discover a sense of self-love for all of the parts that make you who are.
Dianna Kane
I grew up in the Midwest — resourceful, creative and down-to-earth. I have always been interested in people and completed a Masters in Sociology and a Bachelor’s in Urban Studies. I lived and worked in South Africa in the early days of the AIDS pandemic which inspired me to start a career redesigning community health systems to be more equitable and just. Human-centered design best sums up my professional background and highlights so many of the passions I bring to coaching — deep listening, identifying underlying problems and co-creating new possibilities. I regularly consult with social impact organizations via The Curious Company and Firsthand to advance issues like gender equality, mental wellbeing and feminist philanthropy.
Over the years, I have engaged in a lot of personal growth to learn how to set boundaries, balance work and personal life, develop healthy communication skills and build a loving partnership. I dove through layers of pain and fear that had been numbed by working too much, untangled parts of myself that believed that productivity was my source of value and coaxed my shy, soft and emotional sides out of hiding. I teach what I need to learn.
I have studied and continue to learn from incredible teachers and mentors:
Priya Glikman’s work, The Mindset, is based in Zen philosophy and offers potent tools for working with the mind, the heart and the center. I participated in Priya’s teacher training in 2022 and assisted the 2023 training.
Hakomi is a powerful yet gentle approach to self-discovery and healing. Following the wisdom of the body and using mindfulness to stay with present experience, the Hakomi method will help you uncover the unconscious beliefs you hold about yourself, others and the world, and start to relate to yourself differently. I completed two-years of Hakomi Comprehensive training under Shai Lavie and Manuela Mischke-Reeds (2019-2021), and earned the qualification of Certified Hakomi Practitioner (CHP) in 2022. I served as a teaching assistant in 2021-2022.
I have studied energetic touch and loving presence with Shirley Dvir in her course on Relational Somatic Healing and the Tamura Method developed by Wynn Tamura.
I love supporting groups and organizations to step into the unknown and transform the way they work with each other and in the world. I have trained with Mukara Meredith at MatrixWorks in cultivating new forms of feminist leadership that help groups unlock their genius.
Also informing my coaching practice is my training as birth doula. A doula is an apt metaphor for a life coach as both are skilled in the art of accompaniment, compassionate support and steady commitment to helping an individual tap into their inner wisdom and strength.
I live in Marin County, California on unceded Coast Miwok land. I find my grounding walking the forests and foothills of Mt. Tam, am a self-taught painter and love to dance. I am passionate about minimizing single-use plastic and living lightly on the earth.

The space Dianna holds is for the separate parts — fragmented by the challenges and hardships of life — to be seen, witnessed in love and brought forth in the integrating gestures of mindfulness. This is the work of becoming whole. -S, 2022
